Why would what someone else do bother you? Like tge commercial says " that's not your business ".

NCL is freestyle cruising, that is the best part. If you want to get dressed up for dinner you can. If you don’t then you do not have to. Certain restaurants have a dress code and you can’t wear shorts to get in. The freestyle life is why we stick with NCL.

There are some restaurants that have code but NCL is freestyle cruising so what other people are wearing should not concern you.

MDR has always required long pants. No shorts allow. Cagney’s La Bistro are the same.

I agree with the shipmates that said you should beable to wear whatever is comfortable but definitely NOT a bathing suit. I don't know why they would even be let in .

Not a single comfortable place to sit on the entire ship?

I agree. I really wish they would enforce the dress code in the main dining rooms and specialty dining rooms. If you want to dress casual for dinner there is the buffet, O’Shehans, the Pour House, American Diner etc

No shorts were allowed in any MDR or Specialty Restaurants in 2020 on the Breakaway. My husband had to go back and change.

People should be free to go to dinner in the clothes they wore all day. Depending on your level and number of activities, there sometimes isn't enough time to change for dinner. No issues as long as they look presentable. Now, the bathing suits are a different issue altogether. Not appropriate.

Lol It's a free style cruise that's why I do my research for our first cruise. Coming in 2 weeks with Royal Caribbean I can dress up and Comfortable. Who really worries about over dressing on a cruise. People are on vacation.

NCL must have gotten more relaxed. My last cruise with them in early 2020, they would not let you in the MDR for dinner with shorts. The exception is the first night because they know everyone has not received their luggage yet.
