Review summary

I was impressed with the professionalism of the staff/drew and how  pleasantly they dealt with guests.  The food was outstanding. There was a wide variety of entertainment and excursions to suit many tastes. I wish there had been one less day at sea and one more day in Bermuda, which is a fantastic destination with much to offer.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Outstanding service and food at every restaurant. Especially enjoyed the Manhattan Supper Club, which offered music and even dance one night. Enjoyed the option of the Garden Café, which offered a wide selection of cuisines and a great ice-cream machine.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Wonderful variety of activities, demonstrations and even movies in the Atrium.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Loved the variety of shows. Did not like the fact that reservations were necessary. But the box office staff was excellent, especially Hector Gutierrez. Thought Burn the Floor was one of the best shows I have ever seen at sea. Also enjoyed Second City.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Shannon and Rob of the Shopping Staff for their breadth of knowledge and eagerness to help. Liliana and Karl on the Shore Excursion desk for their professionalism and great suggestions. Vuk for overall excellence. He is truly a treasure. Seanu (? Indonesian waiter at the Manhattan Supper Club) and Ms. Rosario, the maitress d' there. Both made my dining experiences memorable. Everyone at the Garden Café for their efficiency and good humor. Ryan the cabin steward for trying hard to get the room done in a timely manner. Hector Gutierrez for his great knowledge and patience in making sure I would get the most out of my entertainment options on board. Nigel a cabin steward who resolved a problem I had with split second efficiency and good humor. Fernie at Sheehan's who served me quickly and always smiled to make me feel welcomed.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Everything sparkled.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Very compact (especially the bathroom) but an excellent shower and ample closet space. The one distressing factor was that the cabin is adjacent to the Studio Lounge, where users often left the door to slam shut, causing me jolt out of bed. It would have been very helpful if there had been a notice placed on the door, similar to the one on the outside door to the Studio rooms, that requested guests to close the door gently. At least that would have been a reminder that allowing the door to slam shut is highly disturbing and disruptive to those whose cabins are adjacent to those door. Also, my hair dryer did not work properly (cool air instead of hot) and it often took very long to get an operator on the telephone line.

Ship tip

When you choose which time to disembark, select either the earliest or latest time possible. Otherwise, you may languish on a long line inside the ship waiting to reach the pier terminal.
