Review summary

Leaving out of New York, sailing past the Statue of Liberty  is a treat for those who don't live in the area.  This was my first time in Bermuda.  It is a very nice island.  I took the five hour island bus tour to get the lay of the land, which was really worth it.  There are several attractions within walking distance of the ship including the national museum and commissioners house, a Dolphin encounter and a small man- made beach.

The Breakaway is a nice resort ship-- lots of activities.  Ropes course, water slides, mini golf, jogging track, spa, etc.

Not a fan of the idea of The Haven, a segregated part of the ship for first class-- their own bar, restaurant, pool so they don't have to mingle with the unwashed masses.  So backward.

Small but very well designed. NCL does a great job for solo travelers on Epic, Breakaway, Getaway and Escape, even if you are not in a studio cabin. Helps solos meet to get to know each other for companionship while aboard.

Ship tip

Solo traveler get a better deal with studio cabins. About 2/3 cost of a standard inside cabin. No 100% single supplement.
