Review summary

Our favorite part was the excursions in Bermuda.

The ship was nice but too big for our taste. Too many people everywhere.

We had to stand in line for 2 hours at embarkation, the ship was late coming in causing much congestion in the terminal.

We were also disappointed in the choices for complimentary entertainment.

The Second City Comedy was great, but the only other choice being Rock of Ages was very risque and not entertaining. What happened to just plain entertainment?

I will always recommend NCL, but cruising just isn't what it used to be.

Balcony was smaller than we've had on smaller ships. The carpet appeared worn . Our room was rarely attended to. Our water glasses were never changed out, dirty ice tongs looked like someone used then in chocolate, and it was not us. Just disappointed..

John, no, boarding and disembarking is not the same at every port.  NYC is particularly bad.  It was built to probably service 1000 people at most and they are now processinng 4500 in the same space.  The day we disembarked the line wrapped up and down the entire length of the ship at least three times even before a person enters the room where you claim your luggage.  Then it was wait again to go through customs. (We actually witnessed one person faint.)  At other ports, we've experienced a process that takes 20 minutes to maybe one hour at the most.

it's set in the 80, sex drugs and hair metal bands. it is a 12 year old boys humor IMO. my 10 and 12 year old girls , loved it. some stuff went over their heads. cursing , implied sex and innuendos, some of scenes in stride joint. the performance are Broadway caliber. burn the floor is amazing too but dancing is very sensual. my 12 year old dance was in awe. I think these shows are. it anything worse than what kids hear in music or see in videos personally. it's not a little kid, I think they would be bored.

Its a great show, but not for young kids. It all depends on what you would consider risque. No nudity, but I would say the plot was a bit over the top for kids. We enjoyed it. Burn the Floor was awesome, but it too could be considered a bit much for young kids.

I heard a lot about Rock of Ages being risqu©. What exactly makes it this way? Language, simulative sexual gestures, skimpy outfits? May I ask your age range? I'm seriously debating whether to go or not. Thanks for any input. 😃
