Review summary

Breakaway is a beautiful ship. However, the pool area is overcrowded and not well designed. My greatest displeasure was the quality of the food. Steak in the regular dining rooms was tough. The specialty restaurants were a disappointment. Modern for many is a novelty. However, I eat at Brazilian Steakhouses monthly and the quality of meat offered onboard was B+ at best! La Cecina, the Italian restaurant, didn't understand the concept of a base sauce on pasta so they brought bolognese which was terrible and way too salty. O'Sheehan's might have the worst food ever served on a cruise ship. Plus, they advertise to go and watch your favorite games. Unfortunately, they could not figure how to show any college football games on a Saturday in September. Really? A Sports Bar and no football?

Shows were fun and staff super friendly and attentive.

Unless the food is improved, I would not be in a hurry to take NCL again (first time on this line, 10 times on cruises).

Was on the escape for the super bowl and it was showing on all tvs in public areas on the escape

I've never had a problem at the pool. My kids were on the slides all day. We never had a problem finding a chair. Food was good. ..Brazilian steakhouse was very good ..over all I thought food was good I do agree with Andrew2600. Main dining rooms parents allow their children to scream and run all over but all in all I love ncl. Doing the breakaway again in November

Actually n8bottling.... the Breakaway will televise Sunday, Monday, and Thursday night NFL games..... which is American TV...

No college football or any other American tv because your in international waters and they don't have broadcast rights...I was on the Escape in February and couldn't watch the Daytona 500...but then again why would I spend that much money to go on a cruise just to watch TV?

I am going again in 9 days and been on it three times and enjoy it.I know some people find some faults but you can't give negative reviews based on a few little bad experiences.Your on vacation have a good attitude and enjoy there is plenty to do and if an area is crowded find somewhere else the ship is huge.Everyone enjoy yourselves life is to short😎

I was on the Breakaway in October and loved everything including the food. Although I wasn't thrilled with the Manhattan room. There were young kids screaming and running wild on the dance floor, then they started running between tables. Nobody had any intent to control the kids...the parents or crew members. Overall we loved the Breakaway so much we are sailing on her again on Sunday!
