Review summary

It was absolutely terrible. I went on a nick themed cruise for kids and there was barely anything for kids. the security guards yelled at my children to go to their rooms right in front of me. the staff was not very nice. there was lots of noise. my daughter (at the time 12) wasnt alowd in the teens club even though she would be a teen on the last day of the cruise. the pool water was super salty. DO NOT go on the Norwegian Cruise line. I recommend Carnival Cruise line. cheaper, nicer, BETTER

I agree splendor is the worst ever been 0n 4 carnival cruises they just keep taking and not giving any thing in return

Went on Liberty of the seas in May and after being on two other Rcl was very disappointed. Food choices were the same and horrible each night. Entertainment boring buffet had empty stations all the time.But I still say Freedom of the Seas was my best cruise out of the six

i was shocked also about the Royal Caribbean cruise but like I said our friends will only sail on Royal and after that crazy cruise they never cruised again. i have never encountered anything like that on Carnival but I am sure it happens. with all those people that cruise, you are bound to see someone acting trashy and foolosh. i am not opposed to sailing on any cruise line. i think they all have pluses and minuses.

I've done carnival and had a great time. I personally wouldn't call it trashy...maybe a little decor gawdy at best. I just find ncl to be on the classier side but with that said I think carnival was fun too!

Lol. Wow. Can't believe the Royal Carribean story. I went on 2 royal Carribean cruises and had a great time. So weird. I will say that the best cruise I've ever taken is the Disney Cruise. Every single aspect of it was top notch.

carnival is not trashy. you should try carnival again. i'm telling you the service is great. we have been on both large and small carnival ships and both are good. of course the smaller ships don't have as many choices for food but the service and atmosphere are still nice. i have heard of trashy people on all cruise lines yet carnival gets the bad rap. friends of ours went on a Royal Caribbean cruise and they told us women would come to breakfast in curlers and pj's. also they said people were pushing, shoving and fighting in the buffet line. that to me is trashy.

Ugh Carnival is so trashy. Sorry you hated it. I'm going on my 4th cruise with Norweigen and love it. Give it another try.

Been on six cruises so far. Going on number seven in November. Have had both fantastic times on RCL,NCL and Carnival. Had an ok time also on RCl and one horrible on NCL Epic during its last cruise. A lot depends on what you are looking for and also how you behave and your family. Treat the crew members with respect and it will be returned.

The pool water is piped in from the ocean on most cruise ships, so it could of have only been as salty as the ocean. The only reasons security would have yelled at your children to go back to their rooms is that they were completely out of control or they were violating Norwegian's 1am curfew for children under 17 years of age. 12 year olds are not teens and Norwegian has plenty of activites for children.

There were no activities for kids ?? That's odd. And the pools aren't fresh water they are sea water, sorry it ruined your trip
