Skyy Vodka Ice Bar on Norwegian Breakaway

3.7
(15 Reviews)

A unique arctic-like frozen chamber, guaranteed to give guests the ultimate chill. The bar, seating and glasses are made entirely from ice. The bar is kept at 17 degrees Fahrenheit and features ice sculptures of the Brooklyn Bridge, Statue of Liberty and the Chrysler Building to pay homage to New York City, its year-round home port. The Ice Bar also features New York City-inspired specialty cocktails.

Didn't do this b/c there was a $20 charge per person, something Norwegian doesn't tell you while their advertising what a unique experience this is.

The room is small, and the only appeal on the drinks is the fact that they are served in cups made of ice. Other than that, I felt too cold to want to be in there for a long time and at the time, I remember paying something like $20 to go in for a total of maybe 20 minutes tops. Knowing what I know now, I would've said, "let's do this once, and be done with it."

It’s seriously a meat cooler. No bar stools, no ice glasses. They crammed a bunch of us in there gave us 3 nasty drinks while we stood there packed in no place to move.
