Review summary

Midwestrancher Just got back from 7 day Alaskan cruise with kids, grandkids and great grandson. 10 of us in all. As an experienced cruiser with over 40 cruises I found the Bliss to be very disappointing. Never before have I felt like cattle being herded. Into the buffet like cattle, round and round you went to find food, round and around you went to find a table. On other cruise lines there are free members to assist you in getting seated, bringing you drinks and generally making sure you are having an enjoying experience. Not so on the Bliss. You are on your own and heaven forbid if you have to ask a crewmember for help. We had a birthday of one of the grandkids and that night at dinner I presented the birthday card for a special cake to the waiter. He actually rolled his eyes when I ask for a special presentation. It got to be a big deal as I had to talk to 3 different people before the kiddo got his cake and a birthday song. The managers were all over the wait staff about getting things done and chewing them out in front of passengers. Tacky tacky. The managers in their black suits and headphones made for a n uncomfortable dinner as they were like guards in a prison watching everything and never never smiling.. Needless to say I'll never book another NFL cruise again. Your crewmembers need to be trained to be customer friendly.

We were on the RC Anthem in May. I had ordered a cake for my husband’s birthday prior to sailing but never received it. The service desk refunded my money and apologized, we moved on with our vacation (which was an absolute blast!!) We JOKED that the trip was now absolutely ruined due to the lack of cake!! I guess the joke is on us because some people actually do let cake ruin their ALASKAN CRUISE with 3 generations of family 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️. Get over yourself sister!! I hope you learn to embrace the big picture before it’s too late.

Totally agree with previous response. I hope your attitude didn’t ruin the trip for everyone else in your group.

Wow! You were on a cruise to Alaska with multiple generations of your family and you say nothing about the ports or what you did while in Alaska and are still focused on what you feel was a slight at a birthday party and service that didn’t meet your standards. Most people would just be to spend time with family and enjoy the beauty of Alaska. Hopefully you didn’t let a few things that weren’t perfect ruin a family cruise.

So you were on a cruise in Alaska with 10 family members including grandchildren and a great grandchild and you were focused on what you consider bad service?! Wow, your priorities are really screwed up. Hopefully you didn’t make their trip as miserable as I am guessing you did with that attitude. One day you will be in a situation where you can no longer travel and would give anything to be able to go on a cruise and spend time with family.

We were on the Bliss May 12-19 for Cruise #7 and we did not experience what you say you did. If you were as negative with the crew as you are in your review it may have had a negative impact. Hopefully you weren’t.

I too am an experienced cruiser with 26. Not 40 but enough to know when and when not to go to the buffet. Obviously, there are certain times on any ship where a table is hard to find. Experienced cruisers try to avoid these times. I too, was on the 15 day Panama canal trip in April and only once did I experience this. When I realized what time it was I also realized it was my own fault. My wife and I found all of the crew on the Bliss to be outstanding in all areas, including customer service and special requests. I suppose it's possible there was one who had a bad day

Sorry you had a bad experience on the Bliss. We were on that ship for 15 days in April and it was just wonderful.Never had a bad waiter or bartender.
