Review summary

We sailed Norwegian Bliss to Alaska and the only reason we didn’t spend more time wandering the ship was because we were in Alaska. The Bliss is a new ship, built for Alaskan cruising, with an observation lounge I wish every ship had. The new restaurants - Q for barbecue and Los Lobos for Mexican, were both tasty. Staff were excellent. We had an aft-facing balcony where we spent a lot of time, watching the scenery pass by. If you want to be up close and personal with a glacier, I recommend this cabin. We will be sailing again, in the Caribbean, mainly so we can actually see the ship.

On glacier day, we were on our balcony (we had an aft-facing balcony), which I highly recommend if your budget can survive it. The ship does sail down Tracy Arm is Endicott Arm, turn around (slowly) and sail back out, so a balcony on either side should give good views.

Do you recommend on glacier day to view from cabin or uptop?

We did the Bliss the week of Jan 5th and all I can say is make sure you pay attention the which way the fish are swimming on the carport because I had the Aft and I will say that I put a lot of steps on my Fitbit since I would walk to the front and realize I went the wrong way

We just did a Caribbean cruise on the Bliss. It was great, I’d love to do an Alaskan cruise on it. The observation deck would be an awesome place to sit and watch.
