Review summary

The Bliss is a great modern ship that is very clean and has an awesome layout! There are many areas to explore around the ship, so you're never bored. Specialty dining was very pleasurable and all the resturants had very high marks. The Bliss may be a popular staple for NCL, but there were some Mark's that were terribly missed! A majority of the staff, close to 85% seemed to me like they were just burnt out. Moral was very low between the staff all the way from guest services to the washy-washy happy-happy sprayers. I specifically had an accident with a water slide attendant who chose to describe me around a group of guest in a negative way. The Bliss to me had a feel that it was geared more towards the 35 and up crowd. Yes, they have attractions and rooms geared for the younger crowd, but it felt more like an afterthought. With all the restrictions placed on the ship, the go karts aren't really designed for the kids. Eating at the free resturant accommodations were sometimes a hit and a miss. We ate at Savor for breakfast and sat there waiting for our food. 45 minutes had passed and someone who sat down after we did received their food very promptly, but that wasn't the case for nor the family that got up and left as soon as we pulled through the securely area. The pools are very deep for the average pool. The adult pool was around 6'8 and the other day pool was around 5'7 which is pretty deep for me.

We were on the same ship and are in our 40’s and thought it was a snooze fest/train wreck of a cruise. The food was good if you liked unhealthy choices (for the most part). The layout of the ship was horrible and had no real flow to it. We found it to be a very compartmentalized layout. The entertainment was like watching bad high school entertainment. The casino sucked. The staff couldn’t understand a lick of English for the most part and yes, had NO interest in making anything fun or providing good customer service...even down to our sorry room attendant that we didn’t even meet till the 3rd day of the cruise. We have never had that happen. I would put my towels down to get fresh ones when they were truly dirty and he would fold them back up. I did a test to see and I was right. One night, I know for a fact I put the make room up option on and he turned it to do not disturb. He was coming from our room as we were walking down the hall and was shocked and tried to play it off. He got busted. Not to mention our “mini suite” was much smaller than any regular balcony cabin we have ever had. Overall this ship had absolutely no vibe going on. I will never sail on NCL again unless we get one hell of a deal. It was still a vacation in the end and yes, I am thankful to be able to go on one. We made the best of it, but definitely realized we are RC people for sure.
