The main negative is we bought the Have Iit All Package and their WIFI is AWFUL!!!! You can not send or receive texts. You are logged out constantly and have to reboot your phone to sign in again. We sailed on Princess a month earlier and bought the same package and their WIFI works perfectly and you can send and receive texts. They also do not have laundry rooms and charge $25 for a very small bag of laundry.

Overall is was a good cruise. Loved visiting more of New Zealand and first time in Australia/Tasmania.

Well worth it. Never been to the southern hemisphere and these countries have been on my bucket list for a long time. Great adventure.

We really enjoyed Australia and New Zealand. The ship was nice and the crew was wonderful. However, the cruise had a little too many days at sea.

A great cruise for people wanting to spend meaningful time together. While there are plenty of enjoyable activities on and off the ship, there are also plenty of quieter moments and spaces in which to enjoy the moment.

Despite some bad weather and rough water on the first day, this was another really great trip. I hope to get to Alaska again in the near future.

Would definitely do this trip again. Relaxing and beautiful.

For a quality cruise experience Holland America is hard to beat.

Would do it again in a heartbeat! I had heard that Holland America was one of the best ... and I believe it.

The cruise was great. We took the land tour before the cruise, and it was just okay. We were a little disappointed with the Denali wilderness tour. TOO LONG. We thoroughly enjoyed the cruise version of the trip and once again HAL met all our expectations.

This was my very first cruise and my first time visiting Alaska. The Holland America crew did a great job making sure I was comfortable, my room was clean, and the food in the restaurants was well prepared. The scenery in Alaska is also some of the best you'll ever see. I enjoyed it so much that I'm going on the southbound version of the same cruise in September, barely 2 months after my first ever cruise - I think that speaks to how much I enjoyed my first cruise.

It was a great experience! The ship may not be the newest and coolest of decor, and caters to an older crowd, but the port itinerary was exceptional and it made for a very relaxing vacation! Ship days were content by just sitting on the balcony and watch the gorgeous scenery go by. Never a bad view outside!

Overall HA cruise was fantastic! Pay for the upgrades, you will NOT regret it!

If you are thinking about this trip, jump in. Spend as much as you can reasonably afford; your upgrades will largely be worth it. Pinnacle Grill is pricey for a couple and may not be worth it - Main Dining Room is perfectly fine. Neptune Suite is worth it for all of the amenities.

Seeing Alaska has been on our bucket list for decades. Thankfully we finally made it happen! Doing a combination Inner Passage and land cruise was the perfect vehicle. Denali National Park was the undeniable highlight and seeing Denali (AKA McKinley) mountain was the cherry on top. The weather was incredible . . . blue skies, moderate temperatures. Don’t miss the husky training demonstration! Our only disappointment was the lack of guidance by HAL during the land portion of our tour. There were some wonderful, well-informed and entertaining coach drivers and many locals who were very accommodating but, after arriving in Alyeska, there was no representative of the cruise line who introduced him/herself or made him/herself available for assistance. We and our fellow travelers felt abandoned. Ideally, there would be one person assigned to each group. Our understanding is that this is the case with other companies but, since this was our first land “cruise”, we cannot attest to that and can only recommend it. Despite this flaw, the trip was awesome. We highly recommend the Riverboat tour in Fairbanks. It wasn’t Disney because it was “real”. Yup!

I cannot in good faith suggest anyone take Holland America. I was scammed and there is nothing that I can do about it. They resent when you book through an agent. They are not helpful and will only to the bare minimum for you even though their charges are really high.

In total this was a 39 day cruise starting in Auckland for a 14 day trip to many New Zealand ports then across the "ditch" to Tasmania, Melbourne and finally to Sydney. Then the 25 day transpacific crossing to Vancouver. Wonderful trip. Ran into a bad storm about 3 days from Vancouver. Worse conditions I have ever experienced but the captain kept us informed and did a great job.

Decent value, great itinerary, limited interesting shore excursion options that were pricey.

We choose our cruises by the itineraries and ports of call, we will be returning to Holland
