Review summary

Had a wonderful time of the cruise. It was Halloween and there were many Halloween related activities, this may have been because Halloween was on our sea day. Many kids and adults were dressed up, and there were different parties for families, and adults only. As well as trick or treating. The cruise was a great vacation getaway.

Embarkation

Boarding was quick and easy. Took about 20 minutes from check-in, through security, to on the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The MDR was hit or miss. Some food was great, others were ok, went there for a lunch and dinners. Went to Windjammer (the buffet) and thought it was great. It had my favorites and tried some new things. I only went for breakfast and lunch. Didn't try any specialty restaurants.

Onboard Activities

I do the trivia games and always love them. They have many different types. Did the Escape Room, definitely recommend, it was a lot of fun.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Went to the ice staking show, the stage show "Ballroom Fever" and the headline Randy Cabral, and loved all of them.

Children's Programs

No children.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
My room steward and waiters were great, and so was guest services, they were helpful. Ran into a few people who were not as friendly, but overall everyone was very nice.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I have been on this ship a few times and find it easy to get around. There are directions posted every where. I feel like they have added more signage. I always saw people cleaning and disinfecting. Everyplace I went to had places to sit that were available.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
This cabin is on the bump out and is very nice. The balcony is great. The room is showing its age, a few carpet stains. But, it is a great room.

Ports of call

San Pedro (Los Angeles), California

5 out of 5
We did not do an excursion, but did arrive to LA early. We actually went to the Port of Long Beach and visited the Queen Mary. That was a lot of fun. There is actually a lot of Maritime history and Aquariums in the San Pedro & Long Beach area.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Did self debark and it went quickly. Took the Royal Caribbean shuttle to LAX, that was an adventure. Our driver was worse than some of the taxi driver's I've had in LA. And he was driving a bus. We were glad to get to the airport.
