Review summary

Very relaxing for a short getaway. We will probably stick to seven day or longer cruises because of the travel involved but if we find ourselves with a long weekend, we would definitely consider this one again. We are bummed our seven day on Navigator in October was chartered out.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Not to bad... we were there a little early due to hotel shuttle schedule so had to wait for them to open up check-in. Once we were let in, we were on board in less than 30 minutes. Checking in on the app really moved things along.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was good as always. Our servers were a little on the quiet side but did a great job in the main dining room. Windjammer was OK... the choices seemed kind of limited compared to other ships but was still good.

The Lime and Coconut

5 out of 5

Was a nice place to sit and relax... liked the seating set up.

Playmakers Bar & Arcade

5 out of 5

We spent about 5 hours having food and drinks while doing homework. Both were good.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5

Entertainment

1 out of 5
This was the only negative part of the cruise... both the ice show and Showgirls were canceled.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone was on the top of their game except for our room steward... we didn't see him for almost the whole cruise.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We received an upgrade to a grand suite which was nice. Quiet room on the port side.

Ship tip

Have fun... it's a slightly smaller ship than what we were used to but still really nice. We only had about 1400 on the four day but hear that the three day had around 3000 so it's a lot crazier.

Ports of call

Catalina Island, California

5 out of 5
We are probably going to plan a couple days there in the near future. We really enjoyed the brew house.

San Pedro (Los Angeles), California

4 out of 5
We stayed by the marina but still had a good time.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very quick... maybe 20 minutes from the time we left our cabin to waiting for an uber.
