Review summary

It is great to get away for the weekend, but this is turning into a booze cruise. The longer cruises are much better.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The Specialty restaurants that we went to were Chops, Jamie Oliver’s, and Hooked. They were all excellent. Food and service at these restaurants are top notch. The Windjammer buffet has gone down. The choices are few now, and not that good.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Flowrider is a lot of fun. Rock Climbing is good also. The trivia games, and Finish that lyric are great. The gym is small and like an afterthought. They have a dry hair bar that is a big waste of space that is empty all the time.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Piano player Lyndon in the Schooner bar is great. The comedian is good. The ice show is excellent, and the Singer, Kenny James was really great too.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All service personnel are fantastic.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
This ship has been updated, and they have added water slides etc. There needs to be some paint touch ups all over.

Cabin / Stateroom

Do not book cabin 8310!! We booked it because it is a great location, and a balcony room. The bed is awful. The mattress is so bad. The cabin steward put extra pads on top of the mattress, and really tried to fix. I kept waking up in pain in my back and neck. My husband even flipped the mattress. No luck. The towels are very small too. Not even close to a bath towel size.

Ship tip

Make your reservations as soon as you can. Use the app. Bring a plug strip with you, because they only have 2 plugs. Tip good.

Ports of call

San Pedro (Los Angeles), California

We sailed from this port so we did not go on an excursion.

We were on Navigator for Christmas and New Years. Loved so much except the bed, it was like sleeping on a concrete slab. I hope they are going to be upgrading the mattresses.

To JT1962 We started taking this cruise 4 months ago in November, then January, February and now March. This is the only that was in spring break. A weekend Mexico cruise will turn into a booze cruise year round, unfortunately.

Thanks for the review. A short cruise during Spring Break is usually a party atmosphere.

Appreciate your feedback. Those short cruises often turn into booze cruises. Glad you still had fun!
