This was a 4 night cruise to Ensenada, Mexico and Santa Catalina Island, California. This was an excellent short cruise to relax and chill out for few days.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
We did the on-line check-in which made the embarkation very easy. We were asked to show our passports, negative Covid test and proof of vaccination. The entire process took about 10 minutes.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The food in the main dining room was good with one exception; my daughter ordered prime rib medium well and it came out rare. The food in the windjammer was excellent. There was a seafood display on the first day of sailing consisting of shrimp, crab claws, and clams….we enjoyed it very much. We also liked Royals Mexican taco setup by the pool.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Onboard activities were limited due to Covid. However, Flow rider, rock-climbing, fitness center and water slide were open.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
We really enjoyed the production show as well as the ice show. Headliner comedian was also very good. Boleros had a Latin band but no dancing was allowed due to Covid. There was a singer in the Schooner bar as well as other musicians performing in lounges.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Service was fantastic and staff was very friendly and accommodating. Could not ask for a better service.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Navigator of the Seas is an amplified ship and has a Caribbean type theme. It sailed with 35% guest capacity. There were plenty of lounge chairs available and no waiting in line in the windjammer. In general the ship was clean except the windows in the windjammer were very dirty as well as balcony glass railings.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
We booked a Junior suite cabin. It was spacious and accommodated our needs. Cabin was very clean.
Disembarkation
5 out of 5
Everyone was assigned a disembarkation group number with scheduled departure times. These numbers were displayed on the tv screen and were called when ready. This was a very organized process. We liked it because you could stay in the room until the number was called. No waiting in line and no crowding.
