Review summary

Our first time on a cruise vacation. It had been a very long time since going on any kind of vacation and wanted to select something that would be a great value, and provide opportunities for both activities and site-seeing, adventure and relaxation. There were 5 of us traveling together and stayed in a balcony cabin and junior suite next to each other. We had the balcony divider door opened between the two and enjoyed a very large balcony as a result.

Embarkation

It went as smooth and quick as I could have imagined as we had never gone through this before.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We hit up every dining venue on the ship. Each one was great. The variety of offerings was fantastic. Quality was tremendous. Service was top-notch.

Chop's Grille

5 out of 5

Fantastic. The service was great. The staff sang to us twice. Once for my birthday, and again for our 33rd wedding anniversary.

Boleros Lounge

5 out of 5

Seemed to me to be the home of some of the best bartenders on the ship.

Main Dining Room

5 out of 5

Really good food. It seemed like an entire team was taking care of us. The MDR manager took time to speak with our travel party almost every time we dined there.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We experienced what we thought was great cruise ship entertainment. We attended every different show that was offered. And we were happy that we did.

Studio B

5 out of 5

The "Iskate" show was the best.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our cabin steward was very friendly and super helpful.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was great. We noticed crew cleaning glass, floors, and hand railings all the time.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We had 2 cabins side by side. Really only one issue with lighting at desk/vanity being out. But was remedied by day 2. Otherwise quite happy with the spaces.

Ship tip

Obviously, you don't have to do it, but purchasing the Unlimited Dining plan opens up a whole world of other food options and experiences on a pre-paid basis(no worries about money while on board). On a short 3 or 4 night cruise it's a relatively small addition outlay of money. Especially if purchased during a pre-cruise sale. We were so glad we did.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Maybe 15 minutes from breakfast to curb.
