Review summary
Our first time on a cruise vacation. It had been a very long time since going on any kind of vacation and wanted to select something that would be a great value, and provide opportunities for both activities and site-seeing, adventure and relaxation. There were 5 of us traveling together and stayed in a balcony cabin and junior suite next to each other. We had the balcony divider door opened between the two and enjoyed a very large balcony as a result.Embarkation
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
Chop's Grille
Fantastic. The service was great. The staff sang to us twice. Once for my birthday, and again for our 33rd wedding anniversary.
Boleros Lounge
Seemed to me to be the home of some of the best bartenders on the ship.
Main Dining Room
Really good food. It seemed like an entire team was taking care of us. The MDR manager took time to speak with our travel party almost every time we dined there.
Onboard Activities
Entertainment
Studio B
The "Iskate" show was the best.

Ship tip
Obviously, you don't have to do it, but purchasing the Unlimited Dining plan opens up a whole world of other food options and experiences on a pre-paid basis(no worries about money while on board). On a short 3 or 4 night cruise it's a relatively small addition outlay of money. Especially if purchased during a pre-cruise sale. We were so glad we did.
