September might not be a good month for a Bermuda cruise, both at sea days were very rough, which limited the things you could do on the ship. Overall, food was disappointing for Oceania.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Embarkation was very easy, as we had a Penthouse Suite and had priority embarkation
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
While the ingredients used in the meals are upscale, the execution and presentation of the meals was lacking. Only a couple of dishes had 'eye appeal', and several of the dishes were really salty. Two of the dishes in Toscana that were noted as having a lemon sauce had a sauce that did not have any lemon flavor. Having been on Vista last December, the food on this ship was overall disappointing in comparison.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
We used the mini golf course, which was good, but unavailable on both at sea days as the sea was quite rough. Fitness center was nicely appointed considering the size of the ship.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Comedienne was very good, other shows were ok.
Children's Programs
No children
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Staff was exceptional, everyone was very friendly and helpful, and they always had a smile on their face. They were always willing to go the extra mile to make the cruise enjoyable.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
The ship is well maintained, and everything was clean
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
We had a penthouse suite, and it had more than enough storage and space to make the cruise very comfortable. While the balcony felt a little small, it was still large enough for the 2 chairs and table. The outdoor table was a little tall compared to the chair height, not sure you could comfortably have a meal out there. The bath was on the smaller side, with only 1 sink, but the shower was a good size. This cabin is below the fitness center, which closes at 10pm. We did have 1 night were someone was in there until 10pm, which was annoying, but fortunately it was just the one night.
