Review summary

This was my second worst cruise out of about 30 cruises. Only Carnival was worse! Food was fair to awful, service and entertainment were sub par, Ship internet stopped working about 6 am the morning we arrived in Bermuda and didn’t work again until we were an hour outside of Bermuda. We couldn’t dock in St. George due to the winds…it would have been nice if the ship arranged transportation for passengers not booked on an excursion. They could have given out tokens for the bus or ferry so people could go on their own…little things like that are what put a cruise line above the rest. No inside pool areas…even the spa jacuzzi was outdoors…I knew this before cruising, but it would have been nice to have at least one pool or jacuzzi that was covered.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
Dinner in Polo was worse than the featured dishes in the main dining room. Lobster was dry and tasteless, filet mignon ordered medium rare was well done, rib eye steak was all fat and grizzle.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Pool loungers were nicely padded and very comfortable. I liked the day beds. There weren’t a lot of activities on board and we hardly ever saw the cruise director.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
The shows were terrible. The comedian was the worst…gave him a second chance and his second show was even worse than the first. Hardly ever saw the cruise director. Live music put you to sleep…ok if you like string quartets.

Service and Staff

2 out of 5
Our cabin stewards were great other than not leaving ice on the last night of the cruise and removing our bath robes on the last night…we did need them after our showers in the morning. The rest of the staff weren’t the best. They didn’t try to get to know you and they weren’t the friendliest. A bartender in the Nautica Lounge snapped at my sister when she asked him for a drink menu because he was busy preparing drinks for a captain’s cocktail hour that was being held in Martini’s.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship was very clean and well maintained. It would have been nice if they had a covered pool or jacuzzi area for rainy days.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Cabin was small but well laid out with a lot of storage. We liked the outlets available at the sides of the beds to plug in our devices. The bathrooms were extremely small…I don’t know how larger people fit in the shower. Cabins were very clean.
