Review summary

Great cruise. With this model, the Seascape, being only two years old, it certainly lived up to it newness. Haven chosen deck12 , I certainly felt some motion; but at a minimal level. I had packed Dramamine, but did not have to take any. I truly enjoyed the balcony! We had an excellent room attendant who provided requests for all of our needs. There was entertainment at various locations throughout the ship; in addition to the evening concerts. Having such options is a plus! The food was delicious-always fresh. I especially enjoyed partaking at two of the specialty restaurants. Service for my party of eight in the Green Wave main dining room was superb. The drink option at the various bars was at top shelf quality. Since I love chocolate, I was extremely pleased to enjoy the Chocolate Bar. I enjoyed the international cultures present on board. The ports of call provided excursions from which one may select. I do suggest providing directions for location for the guide in Nassau for the Panoramic excursion in which the catamaran did not operate. The guide in San Juan also should be replaced.(A review of her services has been provided). In summary I had a wonderful cruise and would chose MSC in the future.

Embarkation

The actual process went smoothly. I could have embarked sooner if the agent at the MSC station at the baggage claim area had offered the bus ride to the ship when we had landed. Instead we ate at the terminal and could have eaten on the cruise line on deck16.

We enjoyed the first two stage shows in the theater and actually took pictures with the cast afterwards. We also enjoyed the comedian. Additionally , we enjoyed the jazz provided in the Loft Café; at times Square and that provided on the main stage in the center of the ship.

Service and Staff

Overall, I had great service. Our cabin attendant, Claudia, was very personable as well as maintained an appropriate professional demeanor. She provided us with the extra linen, tissues and towels we needed on a daily basis. We did notify Guest Services of our request . Her rating is 10/10. My team of 8 was provided with superb service. Both Ari Sanjaya, waiter, and Dhen Mark Rellama, assistant waiter, rate as 10/10 for our 5:15 dinner in the Green Wave main dining room. we had excellent service at wo specialty restaurants. The Chef at Kaito Teppanyaki was both entertaining and kept our various meals in order. His raring is 10/10. Both Ben and Vive at the Butchers Cut provided us with a great recommendation for the protein option. They helped celebrate the Birthday of a member of our party. Both are rated 10/10. The bar service on level 8 in front of the Chefs Corner is also rated 10/10. The services at the Chocolate Bar and at Loft Café are 10/10.

Room size for deck 12 was larger that others on other cruise ships. We particularly enjoyed the balcony. The cleanliness of our room was maintained by our room attendant, Claudia.

See comment above regarding potential for earlier embarkation.

Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, Bahamas

It is certainly in stages of development. Due to the volume to customers, it is suggested to have more transport vehicles to pick up and return to and from the beaches.
