MSC Seascape Cruise Reviews - Q&A

I have sailed RCL, NCL, Carnival, Disney and MSC. I've only done Carnival and Disney with small children. Both of those lines are geared much more towards youngsters. That being said, MSC has an incredible water park and other things to keep kids occupied. I would say it depends on the age of your kids. The 2 MSC ships I was on did not have near as many children as Carnival and Disney but my MSC Cruises took place during January and February so not peak time for kids. Not sure that's helps you at all.I'm sailing seascape in February and really excited. The most beautiful ships I've ever been on

I just got off the Seascape from its inaugural voyage from Rome to NYC. There were not a lot of children or teenagers on this sailing, because of it being a transatlantic and 17 days, however, I expect that will change drastically when she gets to Miami. There shouldn’t be any problems finding things to keep kids of all ages busy. There is an arcade, gym area, water slides and they have what they call a robotron. There should be kids clubs available for most ages.

We’ve taken our kids on Disney, NCL, Royal Caribbean and MSC and they tell everyone that MSC is their favorite. They will go to the extent to tell people who ask them that Disney should take some pointers from MSC. The kids club on MSC is more interactive than the other lines and has a continuous “summer camp” feel with games and activities constantly planned. They even have a dedicated part of the buffet and if your kids want they can eat dinner with the friends they’ve made and immediately after dinner they go to the show where there’s a dedicated front tire for all the kids who are still signed into club to sit together with their counselors. My kids have also said that there was way too much screen time on the other cruise lines and that’s saying something given at home they play video games constantly. I think that the fact that MSC is family owned and not a public corporation, and that they require all kids club staff to have bachelors degrees in education, is a big part.
