The buffet area like many ships I have experienced is very chaotic with many people, difficultly finding a free table and some ok food - highly recommend the buffet area for the fresh pizza which was really nice. The dining room is the place to be with really good service, we had a 8 month baby with us and they really made us feel comfortable and made sure to get the baby food to the table swiftly. I didn’t use the specialty restaurants.
Onboard Activities

I do believe there could have been a lot more activities but it does seem that this ship was encouraging you to hang around the several bars and enjoy the live music so if that’s what you like fill your boots! The inside pool area was good.
Entertainment

The entertainment could have definitely been better as shows usually only lasted 30-40 minutes and it seems like because they are performing twice in one evening MSC have had hold back on this part of the cruise. This ship had a fantastic theatre area and feel they could have really delivered higher quality productions.
Children's Programs

We came into this cruise with our 8 month baby. The baby area/club is prefect with loads of toys and plenty of space for crawling. They kept this space very clean and cleaned all of the toys regularly. From what we saw the older kids club looked really well run and the staff looked always highly enthusiastic and looked like they loved their jobs so this was a really nice part of our cruise.
Service and Staff

I would say most staff were very polite saying “good morning etc” I did find some though could never break a smile and seemed like they didn’t want to be there. There was definitely a mix of people that loved working there and some not soo much. Our waiter was really good, always did what we asked but never came across enthusiastic or happy. Just to be clear no staff were rude.
Ship Quality

This ship was always very clean! They are constantly hoovering nearly every inch of the ship. I am only giving this a lower rating because of the layout and design of the ship I found frustrating. You can easily get confused where you are, or struggle to find a way to get across to the other side of the ship. There are certain lifts that only go to a certain deck I.e if you got in the two middle lifts you can go to deck 16 if you choose the outer lifts they only go to deck 14. I just feel it would have been easier for an internal mid level deck that you could cross from one side of the ship to the other.
Cabin / Stateroom

We got a free upgrade from an inside cabin to balcony cabin from MSC which I thought was a really nice touch. The room was absolutely fine. Cabin was clean. Shower pressure could have been a bit better but that’s the only thing I could critique.
Ship tip
Take this cruise in knowing this is definitely a budget cruise line, they are constantly checking in/out guests on every stop so every day they are doing the safety drill. There is no compass and the MSC app could definitely be better as you have to be connected to the ships wifi to see activities.
