Review summary

This cruise was really wonderful! We had no complaints & would do it again. We really enjoyed the sea days. I just feel that perhaps instead of rushing to CapeTown after the PE docking was cancelled we could have spent another day at sea instead of being docked stationary at the Cape Town harbor for a day & a night before disembarking

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation was a breeze, possibly because it was a local cruise & therefor no customs. Also we arrived at the port on the time stipulated on the cruise ticket. No queues at all 😀

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food in the dining rooms was very good. Always nicely presented & tasty. They also catered for my food allergies & the supervisor always checked that my food was safe for me- I really appreciated it. The service was good too. I only ate in the buffet once but it looked good too. The Savanah Lounge was my favorite for a pre dinner drink. We bought the drinks packages beforehand & that was definitely a bit cheaper than the prices on board. If you are a coffee lover you must buy the coffee package as the free coffee on board & at breakfast is horrible. It is worth forking out a bit extra for a decent coffee.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The evening shows in the theater were of a high quality & very enjoyable. The other performers at the various venues were just average but pleasant

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
I definitely think that the service of the staff is much better this year on local South African season. It was not so good last year on the Musica -

The ship did not dock in Port Elizabeth due to weather conditions..... the weather seemed fine so I’m not sure what the issue was?
