Review summary

At some of the ports take the tours. But if you are an European traveler and feel that you can make it on your own with the public transport system then do. In athens take the Public Bus to all the places you want to go and the trains too. The bus cost you .50 euro cents. While in Santorini take a cab to the end of the island to view the town. It cost me 40 Euros for the four of us to ride in the cab. The driver waited for us and took us back to the drop off point for the cruise. Also when you have to use the tenders to get off the ship go down to the door and wait. We had a very high number in Santorini and was waiting and was able to leave the ship as soon as we got down to the tender area. The food service was good and were at times saying we need to stop eating. Buy the pre paid drinks for the ship they are a good value if you drink a lot of bottle water. The price for a coke or the bottle water is the same when you prepay but you get a liter of water and only a can of soda.

The entertainment is geared to Europeans so you need to know some of it is a little off color but put your American thinking aside and enjoy the shows. Both of my kids have grown up in europe. So none of the shows made them gasp or whisper but there was some giggles from other American kids when the French Can Can was done.

If we were to go on another cruise with this line we would bring things for the kids to do. Like movies and game boys and a dvd player so that they could watch a movie and do something else during the down time. The movies on the ship were $20.00 per movie though you could watch them the whole cruise.

Service and Staff

Our group of twelve made it very hard for the servers during dinner because we were seated at two different tables and during the whole cruise I did not sit in the same seat two times. Yet the servers knew every night what I wanted to drink and that two of the kids in our group only wanted one food item and what they all the kids wanted to drink. one the second night all the kids drinks were on the table before we got there to eat.

Ship Quality

Clean ship but when I went on disney cruise last summer the disney cruise was even cleaner with the disney cruise handing out wet wipes at every port boarding and at every meal. This was not the norm for this ship and their hand cleaners were empty at the ports when we boarded

Pros: The best part of this cruise was all the locations that we visted

Cons: nothing for the kids to do abord ship
