The MSC Meravaglia is a beautiful ship with stunning decor and venues but it definitely has some flaws . Our ship was fully booked so that may have played a part in its flaws. If your looking for a cruise vacation just to get away this may be a great cruise for you, but if your looking for a vacation where you will be accoladed with excellent service, food, and entertainment this may not be the cruise for you.

Food and Dining

The buffet food was decent . It did lack variety and some of the food was sometimes bland. But when you have to feed close to 5000 people it’s completely understandable that the food quality may not be as good. The dining room food was excellent.
Onboard Activities

There wasn’t really anything to do on the ship besides utilizing the facilities that are in the ship, like the water slides, sports complex, casino and pools (which were great) The only thing there really was to do was listen to bands at lodges or sometimes they would have trivia on the lido.
Entertainment

The theatre entertainment was mediocre. It wasn’t too bad but it also wasn’t anything unique and special.

We did have one really bad dining room service experience Me and My family had a 5:30 seating The second night when the ship was docked at Nassau we arrived at the dining room door at 5:47. We were told that we could not enter because the ding room closed at 545. We were not the only ones who were denied. Us and many others went straight to the service desk adter we were denied. My family was told that the complaint would be documented to management. We did hear that some couples were given a meal at a speciality restaurant. We were not given anything and had to eat at the buffet for dinner. I understand there’s a rule the ding room closes at 5:45, but they could of atleast documented it somewhere to let people know that no people are alowed in the ding room past 5:45. Other than that one bad experience. The service was pretty good. The cabin steward, waiter and assistant waiter were all friendly and accommodating to our needs.

Cabin / Stateroom

Our balcony cabin was kind of small compared to other Msc ships we been on but it was still nice. The room Stewart was excellent. Cleaned our cabin twice everyday and was very accommodating to all our needs. Our cabin was in a great position.
Ship tip
Don’t be more than 15 minutes late to dinner otherwise you will have to eat at the buffet
My family did the express walk off program. There was a line from one side of the ship to the other side. There was really only one place to disembark from. It took around an hour to get off the ship then like 30 min to get out of the port.Which is not too bad considering there was nearly 5000 people on board.
