Clean and comfy.

The room had good sound-proofing and very comfortable beds, and the upper bunks (we had a four-person cabin) were well-designed and easy to set up and stow away. Unfortunately, there were several negatives. Even though it was ostensibly refurbished several years ago, the furnishings were shabby. The windowsill had separated from the wall and a large gap had formed, and the rubber gasket was falling out. A closet drawer was broken - maybe our cabin steward forgot to inform maintenance to fix it - but it was later rectified when we reminded guest services about it. The toilet reeked throughout our whole voyage. The soap and shampoo were very low quality. The room was on the small side, and the bathroom was tiny also. However, for the price we paid, the size was to be expected and was acceptable.

Avoid MSC at all cost.

Our room was smaller in size than other ships. But they use space very creatively. Our room was tidied twice a day with new towels but I don't believe our sheets were changed the entire time we were there. The bathroom was clean but it stunk. We sprayed perfume etc but it still stunk. Moldy.
