Overall, for the size of the ship this was disappoointing because of the lack of things to do. We scoured the daily program every day but didn't find things of interest. So we changed our expectations for the cruise and turned it into a rest and relaxation cruise. We enjoyed resting in our cabin and sitting on the balcony. The crew's friendliness and attention to our needs was the best thing about the cruise. We won't sail Divina again and are unlikely to sail MSC again.

Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Excellent Gluten Free support and choices. By the end of 7 days, the regular menu became a bit repetitive with variations of Italian and Indian Cuisine - both buffet and dining room. Bar stafff were very good, making favorite drinks that they didn't normally make just from my description of the drink.
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
For such a big ship there wasn't much that we wanted to do on board. The musicians were mediocre to poor. You basically had the casino and bars with mediocre to poor musicians. My wife had on nail treatment in the Spa - the staff was excellent and she really liked the manicurist.
Entertainment
2 out of 5
Comedian was excellent, the Magicians were horrible, and the stage show was OK - the singers we very good, the dancers good, but there wasn't any set behind the show and, therefore not much "show". EG the one show was a series of Abba songs - that was great but there wasn't really a show - just singing with dancers dancing around the singers.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
One of the most friendly, helpful and welcoming crews we have ever encountered. They are the one thing that might bring us back.
Ship Quality

The atrium was beautiful, but for the most part the public spaces were very compartmentalized with low ceilings that made the ship feel chopped up and much smaller than it really was
Cabin / Stateroom

The size and comfort was great and the balccony was great. This was an accessible cabin but in the bathroom, the shower floor was slippery tile without any no-slip strips. We put towels down to make sure we didn't slip and fall. The toilet was smaller than we've encountered on other cruise ships and not very comfortable for a larger person. They had a towel rack above the toilet and towels and the rack would push into your back when you were on the toilet. The ramp to the balcony was a nice touch but there was a lot of rust on the balcony. The carpet looked very old, there was a lot of rust on the bathroom door and the grout was stained making look moldy/dirty. Overall the ship felt like it was overdue for a dry dock refresh.
Ship tip
A cruise is what you make it - we usually enjoy the shows and music on board but when they weren't up to standard, we just enjoyed resting and relaxing in our cabin and on the balcony.
I'm surprised when I hear people spend most of their time in the cabin or balcony. Why pay for a cruise if you're not going to join in on things that don't "seem " like they sound fun ? You never know until you try.
Thank you for taking the time to share your cruise with us. Sorry it did not meet your expectation. I booked the Divina because I knew it was a European ship and would be laid back. Loved it. If you are looking for a lot to do you should proably sail on Carnival.
