Beautiful ship, but not a great cruise. Customer service by guest services was BAD. They damaged one of our luggage beyond repair and didn’t seem too concerned. I discussed it with Jennifer, the GS manager, and she offered a $50 onboard credit.

Review summary

The cruise was very reasonably priced but was not what we expect when we cruise normally. We generally purchase a soft drink package when we cruise but MSC did not offer one, only a package for non-alcohol package that was expensive for just drinking soft drinks.

Embarkation

Old fashioned but okay

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The main dining room was great looking and service was very good but food could have been better. The choices were limited each night. The buffets were okay but basically the same everyday. We didn’t go to any of the specialty restaurants.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We went to the pool at Aqua Park several times and it is a nice looking pool area. We didn’t use any other activity.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The 3 shows we watched in the theatre were really good but we felt the other entertainment was lacking.

Children's Programs

We do not have small children

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The service and the staff did a good job, however there was a lot of confusion on the part of the staff as this was their second cruise in 14-16 months. The Buffet Manager, Paulo was great and he was constantly talking to passengers and offering them help. Our waiters at the MDR did a good job, Swarta and James, and our cabin steward did also although I don’t know her name.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
This is a beautiful ship and was very clean. The layout though was very confusing, and we were not happy about the location of our cabin as we were upgraded to a balcony, which was nice, however it was on deck 10 where they blocked off several cabins for quarantine and it caused a problem getting to our cabin from the front or middle of the ship. We had to take the elevator to deck 12 walk to the back of the ship, go down to deck 10 then walk back toward mid ship to get to our cabin.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was very nice, the size was plenty big enough and the balcony was nice. The cabin did not have as much storage, closet space as most ships have.

Ship tip

Don’t expect a lot except a quiet, peaceful vacation.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Terrible slow. It take far to long to disembark with only 600+ guests.

Will be going on the Divina October 17th for 7 nights...did they allow having a meet and greet...or any other fun activities? In the MDR did they social distance passengers?
