Review summary

I loved everything about this cruise! I have no desire to ever sail with any other cruise line although I would like to check out the new ship MSC will be introducing later this year. Divina is a huge ship & I lost my bearings several times, but always found crew willing to help me get where I wanted to go, often walking me there personally! I had read so many negative reviews about MSC and honestly, I just do not get it! My stateroom (Interior cabin #13176) was always spotless. Each time I returned to it I had clean towels and the bed was remade. Initially I had an issue with the safe (no charge to use it) which was quickly & easily resolved. The food was good, I didn't like everything I tried, but I was able to try new things & there was always plenty & a good variety of things I did like, so trust me, I didn't go hungry! Our initial itinerary was changed due to the hurricanes & I liked the new one even better than the original! Montego Bay, Jamaica was really fun. Georgetown, Grand Cayman was lovely. We took cheap transport to the beach at Costa Maya, Mexico & had a fantastic day! I skipped the port at Nassau because I wanted to chill & just relax the last day on board and I had a great "me day". There were always plenty of activities scheduled throughout the day and evening onboard & the evening entertainment in the Pantheon theater was always top notch & fast paced. Reymond & Anna were top notch in the garden bar & pool area (adults only) and we never went thirsty! The only things lacking were so minor as to hardly be worth mentioning, but I will anyway. The only clock I could find onboard was on the outside deck on 7. I don't wear a watch & didn't want to carry my phone everywhere so catching up with the rest of my gang was sometimes challenging. And maybe it is by design to maintain the ambiance of the ship, but I was often frustrated by the lack of trashcans throughout the ship. So pack your bags & board Divina! You won't be disappointed!

Mamagale, I give you five stars for your review !!! I must have been on the same cruise and had a great time tho it's strange. We diverted to Jamaica, Grand Cayman quick trip to Miami then down to Cozumel for nearly 3 days..!! Did you go on the 16th Sept cruise? We were on the 2nd to 9th cruise. Anyway, I agree with everything you wrote including the trash cans! Will sail again MSC again.

Thanks for the idea on the watch. I will have to invest in one with a alarm.so I won't have to carry my phone all the time.

As far as clocks , I put my electronics in the safe and leave them there, I bought a cheap watch in Nassau 3 yrs ago I use it strictly on cruises

no, I had an inside cabin. all I did in there was shower, change & sleep! got all the beautiful views I could ever need of the ocean, ports & sunsets from the top deck in the garden bar! plus the bonus of a lovely built-in breeze 24/7! also a plus in the room was a well-functioning thermostat. I like it cold to sleep. just remember to keep the bathroom door open when you shower or it steams up terribly cus it is rather small. and 2 of the 4 pillows are really soft which is an absolute must for me!

I loved it! very clean & quiet. You'll be on the other side of the ship from where I was but it's an easy walk up to the buffet on 14 & the garden bar & pool on 15!

We thought the food was very good...tried all the specialty restaurants and they did not disappoint...it is a total different experience then the "party" ships but if you enjoy nice , quiet relaxful days...this is the ship for you..if you like loud banging music, bellyflop contests etc...you may want to try another .....thank God we have so many choices 😃

I was just so disappointed in the food and lack of things to do during the day.

I sailed Divina and it was a wonderful cruise. Food, entertainment and cleanliness were top notch. Nice laid back environment. Don't let the negative reviews scare you...it was wonderful!

Since I am trying this ship in December it was nice to hear a positive review. About the no clocks... I already have my watch and battery operated alarm clock packed. Thanks.

In the near future I will be on the Divina. Two VERY POSITIVE reviews this morning. I really like the fact YOU were able to accept the new unplanned ports and enjoy them. Lack of trash receptacles is something we have notice on other cruise ships too. (Health issue??) So glad you enjoyed your cruise.
