Review summary

We traveled on the MSC Divina last week (7/22-29) and found it to be ok. We had been on 2 previous Carnival cruises and loved them. It was a big disappointment to learn the first night that there are No comedians on board. They said because of the 6 different languages spoken it would be too difficult, but everything is posted around the ship on English and people understand it.?? All announcements are made in these 6 languages so get ready to spend time listening to them all. Bingo cost $40 to play a line and a coverall. Food is same on the buffet all the time. For something different you have to go to the blue crab for lunch. Dinner was ok, not great. shout out to our servers, Nelvis and Piety they were awesome!! 4 d theater was good bit cost $8.00 to do. Formula car was $10.00 and bowling is $8.00. We didn't get pictures because they are $25-35 each, (but you get 10% off of 10,) still heard most people say they spent over $300 for pictures. Eric the cruise director is dumb. We wrote funny things to his mailbox for the morning show all week to keep ourselves entertained. won his trivia 5 times between us. Ship was very boring, beautiful though, but not activities, they suck!! Ports were nice, St. Maarten, San Juan and Nassau. In St Maarten, we went to the first water taxi stop and found a tour guy named Chico (bobbys marina) who was amazing and took us around the whole island for $40 each!! air conditioned van and many stops almost 4 hours. wherever we wanted to go. I highly recommend him!!! We always have a good time on a cruise no matter what, so that is why we gave them a 3 star rating, but would we go on MSC again. No never! Carnival here we come again!!!

Yes there are shows every night. But they are the same people over and over basically a rehash with a different theme. I have already booked a new one with Carnival. So much better for food and emtertainment!!

I think it is good if you sometimes have to do something by you self. It s nice just to be on a cruiseship. Relaxing, eating, sunbath etc

We felt the same way. Underwhelmed for sure. We've already booked again for NCL. Sad because we were so excited about MSC.

Actually we r all in our later 50s. Don't get me wrong we still had a good time, but would not choose them again over the competition. One benefit was, we purchased an interior room and was upgraded (just don't choose a stateroom at booking) and given a balcony room. that was nice😀 but a Sean Connery movie marathon all week and movies shown outside that I rented last year or own already not a bonus, just plain boring. And the shpws are grand but same people different story lines (dumb ones) and acrobats in all their shows. and thank you GIL that was true, you don't know till you try something new. Now we know. Wish someone would have been this honest when we were thinking of booking it. sorry.

I booked 4 cabins for 8 seniors , 60/70 yo , we all loved it , yes there is little to do during the day but that's why we went, the intl, cruisers were fun , I'm guessing you are yng rand Carnival is more of a party ship, but we had a great time and I've already been asked to book Seaside next year,

At least you tried something different and have comparison info. You CAN always go home to your cruise line of choice.

and you forgot a Flow Rider 😆

I would agree Art42, especially an Oasis class ship with the ice show, Aqua theater show, comedy, Broadway show, and 3-5 other shows. Plus rock climbing, ice skating, zip line all included (bumper cars and trapeze school on Quantum class 😍)
