Review summary

Ship is beautiful. Very elegant. Food is good. However, activities are almost non existent. The teens had stuff to do but most of us were bored on sea days. Every pool is always overcrowded unless you get there by 7 am. At 10 all the pools and hot tubs close, even the adult only. The service was mediocre to say the least. Our head waiter was OK. His assistant never refilled our water. One meal we had nothing to drink by the time we got our food and still nothing when we were done. The cabins weren't cleaned very well. One of the people in our group found a half drank water bottle when we checked in. We ran out of toilet paper and they didn't bring more. I actually had to chase them down the hall to get some. There were some good things. They weren't on the overhead trying to sell. Us something constantly. On the other hand they never said what all was going on except when we docked or an occasional something special. I have been on several carnival cruises and will definitely be travelling carnival again in the future.

I have been on Italian ships....the Oceanic and the Homeric. Nothing at all like MSC ! Service and food were so much better!

It's always love or hate with MSC , we had 4 senior Cples on balconies and our rooms were great, dinner server and sat, were great , a lil overworked but they took care of us , yes some activities were lacking but didn't matter to us the infinity pool and the other pool forward of the main pool had room and we went Valentine's Day, it was a full ship,

MSC is different than other lines. For people used to the Carnival, RCCL and Norwegian experience it may not meet those expectations. Embrace the Italian !
