Wonderful Cruise

Sail Date: June 18, 2007

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Oceanview

We are 42 and 46 and this was our first cruise. The ship was refurbished and it looked brand new. Chandeliers, piano, shops, great music at the pool. We choose late dinner and had exceptional service. The group of waiters were so frinedly, professional and extremely cheerful! The experience every evening was amazing! We took the 4 night cruise out of Long Beach and from the time we got on to the ship to the time we got off, all was extremely organized. We are hooked! Royal Caribbean will be our # 1 chocie of cruise lines from her on out! Thanks to all fo you for making our first experience a wonderful vacation!!!

Pros: How I was treated

Cons: Cannot think of anything

Recommends Monarch of the Seas (RETIRED)? Yes!

Ship Quality
Very clean ship, great decor.
Food and Dining
Great food, the buffets were wonderful, had a Sushi bar, late dining worked great for us, had a party of 12 and we were all seated toghether.Th dinner entertainment was wonderful!
Cabin / Stateroom
We had a room with a porthole in the middle of the ship on the third level, no rocking motion felt and very quite.
Service and Staff
All staff was amazing! Did not have one rude satff member on the ship!
Entertainment
The comedy shows and games were very entertaining. This ship however does not offer alot of glitzzy shows in the evening.
Children's Programs
Rock climbing wall, many family and individual contests.
Catalina Island, California
e rented golf carts and drove around the island, very relaxing, great shops!
San Diego, California
Went to Sea World, had a great tiem!
Ensenada, Mexico
Many shops, pretty clean compared to what we were told by our friends. Go early in the day. MAnago and Mango was better than Papas abd Beer.
