Review summary

The ship and staff were terrific. This was our first cruise but certainly will not be our last. We had high expectations from talking with other experienced cruisers, yet our expectations were still exceeded. Food and service was beyond anything I could have imagined. Could not duplicate this vacation with any other travel options, for sure not in a hotel. The room was small but we spent little time there since there was so much to do.

Ship experiences

Five star.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Would have liked a little more variety and time options for the main shows.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff was available and very helpful at every turn.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Smooth sailing. Never noticed any movement. Everything was clean and inviting.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Small but adequate for the little time spent in there.

Ports of call

Catalina Island, California

Not a lot to do there, but interesting nevertheless. Probably should have taken the glass bottom boat tour.

Ensenada, Mexico

Very disappointed that there is no public beach close by. Trip to nice beach was a $30 taxi ride. Skipped it! Had a nice lunch there though, then returned to the ship and sat by the pool.

San Diego, California

Great day! Took a self-directed trip to Sea World then ate a late lunch at Anthonys on the Embarkadero.
Don't Miss: Anthonys seafood restaurant

Pros: The food and most everything else

Cons: it was a little to cool for swimming in the evening
