Review summary

Fantastic all inclusive cruise experience. Wonderful ship, top quality crew, fantastic atmosphere onboard gave a great cruising experience and left us wanting to return to the Dream ASAP. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very easy in every way. Plenty of staff at the airport directing us to the correct transfers, very swift procedure at the cruise terminal, helpful staff.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We only ate within included venues, and found the service in the MDR Orion fantastic. Food changed daily and always felt like there was a good choice. Only once felt quality was a little lesser for my meal, but it was embarkation day and there was a rush to be ready for Muster Drill. Otherwise, everything was excellent quality and the service was attentive but unobtrusive.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Mostly used the hot tubs, but everything was fantastic. Nowhere seemed to get busy, and we always found a space in the hot tub despite the fact there are only two. This hasn't been our experience with other cruise lines.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Entertainment team are brilliant. Hard working and friendly. Stage shows were high quality and varied. Beatz Interactive was the best show we saw.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
I had heard the Dream's crew were highly regarded, but was still impressed with their level of service. We ended up choosing to eat in the same area of the MDR as we loved the serving team (Reynaldo, Angelo and Adley), had a great cabin steward (Gusti) and found the whole waiting team brilliant. Special mention to Philip - beep beep, spread di love! His antics always brightened the day!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Outside she's obviously an older ship but onboard you wouldn't know. Immaculately clean and well maintained. Layout was good, and easy to find your way around. Loved the size.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Biggest inside cabin I've had. Loved having a small sofa to sit on. Shower was a bit tiny, but made up in quality what it lacked in size. Plenty of storage. Slightly old fashioned in design, but that's not an issue for us. Immaculately clean. Losing a star for the noise from the Medusa Lounge. Wasn't an issue for us, and they stopped noise around midnight so not unreasonable, but if I was a light sleeper it would be a problem.

Ship tip

Sirens Buffet has a better layout than the Lido Buffet, but isn't available for the evening meal.

Ports of call

Alanya, Turkey

4 out of 5
Walked from the ship to the Caves which cost us €3 for entry for two people then took the Cable Car up to the Castle and back. Enjoyed both and very reasonably priced. Nice atmosphere once you're away from the taxi drivers pestering you.

Limassol, Cyprus

5 out of 5
Didn't see much of Limassol as only embarked and disembarked here. Cruise Terminal was mostly efficient though.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Only losing a star for the confusing set up by the Cypriot authorities. Even those with nothing to declare at customs were having bags scanned, but there was only one scanner. We left early as we had a farewell tour booked but if we had been leaving with the airport coaches later it would have been nightmarish.
