This cruise was amazing. From the bustle and noise of New York, to the quiet roads of Freeport. We used more local restaurants than we have done before, which gave us a taste of the destinations too. Unfortunately I don't think we will be back.

Booking at least minute we feel we had good value for money. Thoroughly enjoyed our cruise and would cruise again with Marella as they have the best itinerary IMO

Given this was Discovery’s 1st full Caribbean cruise post COVID things could have been much worse. We cruised COVID free and made all but one of our scheduled islands. COVID protocols were in place and obviously working well at the time. Wearing masks inside was a minor inconvenience and we were more than happy to do so just to get back on board and cruise the beautiful Caribbean again😁. Hopefully the embarkation, slow service, and variety of food will improve as time goes by. Overall we were very happy with Discovery and the price we had paid and look forward to returning if we can find a bargain for March😆

Some of the ports were in the middle of no where which was disappointing with 1.5 - 3hr drives to get to see the sites.(Phu My and Laem Chabang Port Klang. Placing a half day stop in in Malacca was also pointless as tenders could not get everyone off in time.

It was one of the best cruises I have ever had. Cannot fault anything at all. It was my first time on a marella ship can honestly say it eont be my last absolutely fantastic

My dream cruise never disappointed at all it was all good even the muddy Cambodia but if you go to the Vietnam war museum my words when I came out was disturbing ! The experience left me numb I have never seen such graphic photos of war in my life it left me speechless when we came out I actually said to my wife don’t look at this next picture.

From start to finish it was so different from anywhere I've been before just amazing.

Disembarked. Easy. Transfer to airport easy. SHAME TUI Tui haven't got the guts to tell you that you are going to be delayed at least an hour because the airport can't service the plane in the required time because the tankers are not big enough to fill the plane. So have to keep refilling to service the size of the plane (Manchester flight). Or they take off and land elsewhere to top up(Birmingham flights)

Overall a good cruise but an engine fire in the 9th put a downer on the first week and poor communication did not help, second week was fantastic.

We enjoyed our cruise this site doesn’t have all the ports we stopped at we went to a lot more than it’s says ship is a bit dated and did have problems with one of the engines catching fire so we missed one of the ports we had a junior suite which meant we had our own sun loungers on our balcony so you didn’t have to go in communal areas

Discovery is a lovely ship but could do with a lot more seating in the atrium and the live room, there's a lot of wasted space which could be occupied with a few chairs.

Decent ship but disappointed with our suite having had a much better one on the previous ship. Some nice destinations but Santorini should be given a huge miss, massively over-run with tourists and very difficult to get to and from the town to the ship. Big disappointment. Turkey was a pleasant surprise (our first visit there), Zakythos was lovely. Athens busy but interesting, Crete lovely. Corfu airport is a nightmare.

We sailed on the Discovery two years ago and fell in love with the ship. Couldn't wait to get back on in Aug 2019 for two weeks which did not disappoint. Nothing is too much trouble for all staff - bar/restaurant/cabin/entertainment. Captain Chris is a one off. His humorous tannoy announcements and his mixing with holiday makers was refreshing. He was friendly and chatty and not afraid to get stuck in with his crew - even dancing on a number of occasions.

Once again, another great Marella Cruise. This was our third with Marella having previously been on Discovery 2 and this ship the year before. As always we were well looked after by a very good and competent crew. The food and entertainment was of the usual high standard. The ports of call were all good with the exception of Taranto which we felt was still catching up with tourism -although some would say this is a good thing. Our main gripe was with the TUI flight to Corfu for embarkation which was delayed from 05.15 t0 08.00. Although we were notified the day before, we were still expected to arrive at the airport at the original check-in time. This meant an unnecessarily long wait at the airport and made for a very long day. Overall it was another good trip with Marella and exceptional value for money being all inclusive. Would recommend to anyone.

Wasn’t sure what to expect and as it’s my first cruise I can’t compare it but I had a really nice time, looking to book our next cruise, even on same ship so it must have been good.
