Epic Spring Break cruise! Loved every minute of it.

Embarkation

First time at this Port and it was such a breeze!! My check in time was 10-10:30. My Lyft dropped us off at 9:55, first time doing baggage check with the porters and that was a breeze too! We waited maybe 10 minutes upstairs in our designated area and were on the ship by 11:05!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
First time doing “Your time” dining and we loved it!!! We did not eat in the MDR at all! First time in the specialty restaurants are free then $8 per person after that. What a steal!! Chibang was so good! Cucina del Capitano delish! Buffet was hit or miss but we didn’t plan to have main meals here it was more of just pick and choose on the go. Street Eats was delicious too! Loved that option, food was fresh and tasty! Of course pizza 🍕 was delish! And I loved how in the evening, they had you line up and crew would go down the line and ask what you want and go get it from the front for you. I thought it was very efficient. Loved the late night snack buffet at Guys Pig and Anchor, hot yummy eats to soak up my Malibu and diet! 😜

Onboard Activities

So many activities! Never bored! My boyfriend loves his afternoon naps so I would always go explore the ship and do the walking track. Loved looking for cruise ducks, 🦆 first cruise I found any! 7 to be exact! Mind blown 🤯 Enjoyed the serenity area, enjoyed trivia, and enjoyed the casino. I won my biggest jackpot ever! $10,499! So much to do in just a week!

Service and Staff

Everyone we encountered was so nice and helpful. Service was top notch! We enjoyed the bartenders at the Fortune Teller Bar, all our waiters and waitresses and our room steward took great care of us!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Mardi Gras was my biggest ship so far, we were at capacity due to spring break but i honestly didn’t feel like we were! Ship was clean and someone was always wiping something down. I loved the layout, only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the center stage - the seating was awkward.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Loved my balcony room! I was hesitant the first time we got to the cabin as it was directly across from the crew door - but our location was perfect! Quiet, large shower, loved the glass door! Balcony was large and the A/C was perfect! Our room steward was great!

Ports of call

Grand Turk Island

Enjoyed getting off the ship and walking the pier. It was a little overcast and we didn’t have an excursion booked so just walked around. If you love the beach and laying out you’ll love this port.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

First time at Amber Cove and loved it!! Did the Local tour and flavors and traditions. Started at a Rum factory then bussed to the city center, walked around, shopped, had an amazing lunch, seriously I wanted another plate it was so good! Went to a chocolate factory and a fort. Loved it!!
