Embarkation and disembarkation was a breeze. Mardi Gras is a gorgeous ship. A totally different lay out. On most cruises I have been on everything seems to be in a straight line. Not on the Mardi grasthe hallways have twists and turns. The new sort of layout makes it feel like it's not as large as it really is. Food was good in the MDR. Buffet was your typical buffet food. Rudy's seagrill was worth the price. Everything was delicious. Bonsai sushi and Bonsai Tappayaki are Musts! For fans of rides the Bolt is a must. Loved it. Entertainment on the ship was great. Make sure and stop by and check out Mike Mac in the piano bar. He's the diamond in the rough awesome entertainer.

Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Ate once at the buffet, it was typical buffet food. Ate dinner twice at the MDR, enjoyed everything I had. Bonsai sushi and Tappanyaki are ones that I would say are Must Haves. Delicious. We did Rudy's Seagrill which was great also. The best thing I can say about Emerils was the coffee is great. Had a slice of the Lemon Box Ice cake. Not a fan 4 of us tried it and not one of us liked it.
I know everyone is raving about Big Chicken. All I can say is that it is just okay. It really wasn't my cup of tea. It was overly peppery tasting. Willie's chicken in New Orleans blows Big Chicken out of the water. We did do The Chefs table it was fun and enjoyable. I know I don't like lamb or duck. The chefs table did nothing to change that.
Onboard Activities

There was always something going on. Unfortunately sometimes more than one thing and you have to make a decision on what one to miss

Every staff member we came across was friendly polite and would go out of their way to satisfy.
Ship Quality

Love the new design of the ship
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Cabin was good and balcony was larger than normal. Bathroom is about half the size of bathroom on other ships. You walk in and can only stand in one spot toilet right to the left sink right straight ahead and shower to the very right. If you are large person there is no way to dry yourself off without having to come out of the bathroom. They really left slot to be desired in regards to the bathroom.
Ship tip
If you are someone who watches tons of vlogs on you tube. Go on with an open mind.
Did the excursion Discover Roatan. Sandy was our tour guide. We held sloths, had Macaws on our arms and heads, saw iguanas and watches as the tarpon, amber jacks fish were fed. It was a great excursion.
Appreciate your feedback. I am not fond of all the comments about the small bathroom. Yet it sounds like you enjoyed this new ship and all it had to offer.
