Will I go on the Mardi Gras again? Only if I like the ports or someone I cruise with hasn't gone on it and wants to sail it.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Arrived at our correct time (10:30), was able to sit in the terminal. Was about an hour later we boarded. All in all pretty smooth.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
If you are a buffet lover, it was very lacking. Two small stations (main main) with the same thing on each. The MDR was good as well as the specialty restaurants, which there are plenty. Since there are so many dining venues, that is most likely why the buffet is so lacking.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
I spend most of my time close to a hot tub. There are plenty, but as always I think they can be hotter. Didn't use any of the other listed activities.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
Love and Marriage, Family Feud, Comedy shows, were great as always. I didn't find stage shows, everything was music, music, and more music and singing. I like a story with my singing.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
As always, they were great.
Ship Quality
1 out of 5
The whole ship was beautiful, but everything was so spread out over many decks. Restaurants, Stores, etc. was over at least three decks, from aft to forward. I did not like the design.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
So much storage, which I really liked. The bathroom was a little smaller, but the shower was larger, so that took up some of the bathroom space. The shower has a glass door which was nice. If I go on the Mardi Gras again I will still do a front facing balcony but on a different deck as the bottom of the balcony railing was metal not glass so you could not sit and look out.
So quick and easy. We have passports so all we did was facial recognition and was off the ship and on our shuttle in about 10 minutes and it only took that long because many choose to walk off.
Thanks for the review. People either seem to love or hate the design of the ship. Thankfully there are multiple ships and cruise lines to find one that is right for you.
