Review summary

Overall this was a great cruise. You can’t control the weather of course but there were still plenty of things to do. I had been rescheduled on Mardi Gras 4 times since COVID hit so needless to say this cruise was for the ship.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
There was a very long line but it went quickly.

Ship experiences

Entertainment

3 out of 5
We didn’t see any shows except for in passing. But there were always a line for them so they must be good.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our waiter Marius in the Flamingo was so attentive and funny. By the end of the week my husband had a drink waiting for him when we sat down. If you have him tell him I say Hi.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
There were many people complaining and saying they will never take this ship again. That’s fine more room for me! There was not enough time on a 7 day cruise to do everything! So many cool venues, food joints and activities. There was always someone cleaning.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The bathrooms are small, I will not deny this. But it works for its purpose. I do not recommend this room if you are a light sleeper as it is almost the whole way forward. It is windy and you hear the rudders and engines when you are pulling into Port Canaveral starting at 4 am.

Ports of call

Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

5 out of 5
Bought the beach excursion through the ship which included the sky ride, clamshell, chairs and floats. It was a beautiful day. Carnival has really developed a great port near their pier. You can also do this excursion for free if you are on a budget. The beach is very walkable and you can sit in the sand. We probably would have done this if we didn’t have credit. But the excursion was very reasonable. It was 65 for both people.

Disembarkation

Easiest ever. They call you by your muster station for self assist and there was NO LINE.
