Overall I was not very fond of the ship it was too scattered out and nothing was the way it was on all or most of the rest of the carnival ships.

The cleanliness was excellent but the ship layout was horrible. The fun shops were scattered over three floors and the same with most restaurants.

Cabin was very clean but it was a little smaller than most of all the other Carnival ships.

Get ready to do a lot of walking.

I'll have to try it and see but I feel spreading the restaurants around could help reduce crowds. If you put all the restaurants in the same location then it will be packed at meal times in that area and deserted the rest of the time.

Appreciate your feedback. I don’t think I am a fan of the direction Carnival is headed with the bigger ships. Glad you enjoyed your cruise in spite of the ship design.

Aside from the ship layout, you seemed to enjoy your cruise. Different ship class offer different amenities. The Mardi Gras is their XL (excel) class. You'll probably see more layout variations in the future as the cruiselines try to stay competitive by their ship designs and amenities.
