Review summary

Not a bad cruise for a first. Main problem we had was the smokers around the pool deck. The starboard side of the pool area was for all smokers. We could not enjoy the pool for this reason. In addition, the casino was filled with smokers so no gambling for us. Staff failed to be proactive in enforcing the no smoking area on Coco Key. Other than that the cruise was good. The tour guide we had in Nassau went above the normal tour and took us places that were not on the schedule which was nice. The stateroom were small. However only needed to be there for sleeping anyways. An additional item was the 20-40 year adolescent power drinkers. So beware.

Was on Majesty in December. There will always be a choice few who do not care about the smoking rules and will smoke where ever they please until someone says something to them. I know it's hard to tell a complete stranger what they already know when there's no staff around to do it. But even the staff doesn't enforce the rules half the time. I had wanted to gamble a little in the casino and there was a rule posted about the smoking areas there, plus you could only smoke while actually gambling, but then again most didn't care and too few were enforcing the rules, so I didn't gamble as much as I could have.

Stay on the non smoking side of the pool. The smokers will stay on their side.

They only care about smokers and afraid they will lose money if they don't have them but they don't realize second hand smoke can cause cancer too

I sailed on Majesty twice last year and I agree. The pool area is so small that to make the smoking area 1/2 of it really made it unbearable for non smokers. I avoided the pool area and the poorly ventilated smoke filled casino.

I don't know what is worse, smoking or drinking to much. They both can kill you. And both are annoying to people.

We didn't have any trouble on the Dream. We don't gamble but walked through the Casino. It was smoky but otherwise all was fine. I wish smoking would just be banned all together but unfortunately it isn't.

Sailing on carnival dream soon. I hope we do not have to deal with that.

if you can't handle smoke OUTSIDE, you need a bubble in your house you can never leave.
