Review summary

We enjoy the Freedom Class ships, but Liberty is not up to the standards of Independence and Freedom. Maybe after the next yard period they will be.

Port Everglades is a tired port for a cruise line. Parking is far from clear or intuitive, and the staff is pretty indifferent to helping guests in the boarding process. This is a port is desperate need of a refresh.

Excellent service from our housekeeping and main dining room staff. Always nice to be around people who take their responsibilities seriously.

Like Port Everglades, Liberty is in need of a refresh. The ship feels tired, and that puts a damper on the atmosphere of the cruise. Fortunately, the staff’s enthusiasm offsets a lot of the ship’s shortfalls. Unfortunately, according to the staff, Liberty is not due for updates until at least 2026.
