Review summary

It was a good experience; however, we want to explore other companies. We wasn’t completely sold on Royal Caribbean. They would have to offer something enticing to lure us back for now.

Ship tip

Advance notice of changes. It was disheartening to get to the ship only to be told the original ports were cancelled.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

Disembarkation

The staff on different levels were not on the same page. One person told us to go in one direction while another said that was wrong. That was unprofessional.

Appreciate your feedback. Early in your sailing career is a good time to check the different cruise lines in order to find the one to think fits best. Just be advised that they all may skip ports due to weather. Glad you found some enjoyment from your cruise.

Wow! You can't judge a cruiseline on change of ports or sea days. ALL cruiselines do the same thing if weather is not good for docking. If you had read your contract you would have known this. Maybe the other ships got there before the sea got rougher. I would think about the fact that Royal Caribbean put your safety first over having a few hours of fun. Royal Caribbean is a great cruiseline. Hope you give them another chance. All the other cruiselines change courses and ports of call too.

Thanks for sharing your cruise experience. Sorry there were things that didn’t quite meet your expectations. Port of calls can change without notice due to weather or other factors. It says so in your cruise contract when you book your cruise. This happened to us last week going into Nassau. We could see other ships docked but due to the weather and size of the ship, the captain could not dock safely and we had another sea day. I suggest maybe try a newer or upgraded ship in the Royal Caribbean fleet before judging whether or not you wish to cruise with a Royal Caribbean. Happy cruising!
