Review summary

Overall, we had a good cruise, maybe a little over 40% capacity on the Liberty. I wasn’t for sure what the weather was going to be like in January at the ports but it turned out sunny and warm at all 3 ports. My wife was looking for some crafts to do during the day but none was offered was the only draw back she had. We will be back cruising again on the Liberty come September

Embarkation

Check in time was 12 o’clock, got there 11:45 and was on the ship by 12:10. Things went real smooth.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We ate breakfast and dinner in the MDR everyday. Breakfast was good, tried different items before repeating on day 5. MDR food was excellent, gave you a good size portion to eat and desserts were OK, ate a lot of cheesecake if I didn’t like the other choices. Only ate in the Windjammer for lunch, food was fine with a lot of choices. We did eat lunch in Giovanni’s on day 7, very good and do recommend it if you never ate in one of the specialty restaurants as it was a 4 course meal . This was my first time.

Café Promenade

5 out of 5

Got to give credit to the manager as my brother was looking for some place to get a strawberry pie made for his girlfriend birthday and this was the only place we found. We weren’t for sure when they were going to make it and bring it to the MDR but it showed up the next day after we ate and was delivered to the room

Sorrento's Pizza

5 out of 5

Very good pizza to eat anytime, I mostly had one after the shows

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We enjoyed a lot of the activities they offered but some weren’t open until later in the day. Pools, hot tubs, miniature golf was good for me but no crafts were offered that my wife could go to. There was plenty of trivia to go to or some games to go to after the shows but weren’t very interesting.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The stage shows were very good. The cast did an awesome job putting on the musical Saturday Night Fever, the comedians were funny and the juggler was very good and funny also. Can’t say much about the CD TT, never saw him or heard from him except at the beginning and the end of the shows.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our waiters in the MDR were awesome. Nengah and Jeepakstan were very polite, call you by your first name, would stay and talk to you as long as they could to get to know you and tell you about themselves and about where they live. Our room steward Vinceen was just as good, room was cleaned twice a day, kept the ice bucket full and had plenty of towels to use. He addressed us by our first name and talked to us every time we saw him in the hallway.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship was always being clean and crew was very busy. There will always be wear and tear on everything as the ship is always on the go. It is still a very elegant ship, well maintained and will wait its turn to get refurbished.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cabin was very clean, a little tight going around the bed, we had a promenade with a view room. Overall, it was good, mattress a little soft, woke up hips and shoulders sore.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We were near the end to disembark around 9:20, walked right through customs, got a porter and at our vehicle around 9:45. It was real easy this time around.
