Review summary

It is great for an easy quick getaway. We also stopped in Roatan Honduras which I liked a great deal.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
It was smooth. We were aided at all steps because we had our 91yo father with us in his wheelchair. The young man took us to our muster station on the way to the cabin so I did not have to push Dad myself.

We saw Friday Night Fever and enjoyed it.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff was wonderful.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Everything was very clean. I was surprised that there were only 2 banks of elevators forward and aft. Most ships of this size have 3. Still it wasn’t crowded since the ship was about 2/3 full or maybe less. Wood work and curtains were showing their age. The ship is due for a facelift.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Our cabin was tucked into the starboard corner of the stern. It was huge. The veranda was very large with 2 chaise, 2 chairs and 2 tables. It was shaded almost completely by the overhanging balcony above. There was an area where you had to watch your head. The room had a peculiar pillar in the middle that was probably load bearing. It blocked my view of the tv. There were only 2 electrical outlets. The bathroom was minuscule. The shower stall was a cylinder and I felt like I was in cryogenic chamber from a sci-fi movie! It also had no grab bars ( although I am not sure there was room to fall in it). Finally, the decor was ugly and the bed skirt on my bed had a large hole in it i

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

4 out of 5
It was easy access. I did not do an excursion but went to school there a long time ago so I may be biased. I love Galveston

Disembarkation

Smooth and easy. I have never had such a pleasant and quick experience in my 25 years of cruising.
