If you are worried about Covid exposure on the cruise - Don't. With the safeguards and required vaccination and seperation for vacinated members, we felt safer than walking into Walmart or attending a sporting event. Royal Caribbean did a wonderful job of making you feel cared for and the crew was friendly and attentive.

There was some painting going on around where we had our stateroom, so the fumes could be obnoxious. Also some wet paint that was not labeled as wet until you found out by leaning against it --- not cool. We had a stateroom at the front of the boat and it was really inconvient at times to get to since you had to go up 3 floors and across and then down to get to it. It took us a while to figure it out where we needed to go when we first boarded and then it was getting used to the up and downs. The common areas were clean and so were the common area bathrooms. We saw several cruise members constantly wiping the railing and keeping things clean.
Cabin / Stateroom

We actually put in a bid and were upgraded to an ocean view cabin. It was on deck 2 #2440. It was nice but at the front of the boat so we heard and felt the rough seas hitting the boat at times. We also had a water drip from the ceiling and the tv did not work for the first day. Things were taken care of, but that should not have happened to begin with. Also, I would recommend bring an air freshener for the bathroom....just can get that smell after a few days of a porta potty.
Ship tip
Book a stateroom in a more central location and not at the front end of the boat ---no access to the staterooms on level 2 because of the icerink.
Happy that you didn't let a few mishaps affect the enjoyment of your cruise. And yes, cruising is about the safest activity one can enjoy. Appreciate your ship tip, but I typically do the opposite. I love the rocking and rolling of the ship. I get the best sleep ever on board!
