BoomerangTX Cruise Review on Liberty of the Seas on Oct 07, 2018

We have sailed on liberty twice ... may 2017 & may 2018 .... food was better last year in the mdr ... we ate the buffet more this year ... once last year ... liberty is a beautiful ship .... on of my faves but in all honesty I don’t think you get near as many free options with royal as you do on carnival ... we have 2 carnival cruises next year .... I would sail royal again but I think it’s all preference.... a bad day at sea is still better than work ... cruise on 🛳⚓️

Sorry to hear about the food, we sailed on her twice without any food issues, but the food has definitely taken a step or two back in a few short years.

I sailed about a year ago and Liberty and thought the food was only ok. I had a fabulous time and would sail her again but I am interested to see if Adventure OTS's food is better.

Sorry you did not like the food. We have sailed on Liberty 7 times and I guess we just don’t expect haute cuisine, like the old days of cruising. Nice that you mention Albert in Hoof and Claw. He is great and a friend.

A quick follow up: In Roatan we went snorkeling on the Jolly Roger and had a blast. The crew, boat, food and drink were all first-rate. It is an excursion that might be suitable for those with less snorkeling experience, but even being experienced snorkeled/divers, we had a great time. At Costa Maya we did the Chacchoben ruins exclusive drive. And I mean exclusive: the other people in our tour did not show up, so we had the entire excursion to ourselves. Liliana was our tour guide, and she was absolutely fantastic. In Cozumel we just messed around on the dock, had lunch and went back to the ship. We have been to Cozumel many times and just weren’t feeling doing an excursion that day. Also, the dang autocorrect changed “steward” to “Stewart” and I didn’t catch it. 😜😜
