Review summary

Jewel of the Seas 1-2-2010. My husband and I were bitten in our bed the 1st night of our cruise. We found small brownish like apple seeds in the bed, but no actual bugs.(I did not know what bedbugs look liked.) I had a allergic reaction to the bites. The staff all acted like we were imagining or lying about what happened. I had Benadryl so took it but still was in a great deal of pain inall my joints. My scleara was reddened and I had bite marks on my ankles and mid thigh.

We were not lying about the bites. Now that I know what they are. I have to fumigate all our bags and clothing. Not once did anyone say they were sorry. Just they could not find anything. I saw the MD he did blood work throat cultures to the tune of $254.00. Did not really examine the bites. Told me my red blood count was low. No real explanation about bites or there reaction. We were never offered to move to another room. Just that they knew where the bugs hide and they had cleaned and changed all the bedding. Now I'm upset to have to protect my house from infestation..whats wrong with honesty. So please BEWARE.Don't let this ruin your vacation.

We live in Florida and know about bugs but to try and lye about it, makes it worse. Fumigate and protect your passengers.

BEDBUGS NEED I SAY MORE...How the staff handled the situtation was VERY POOR. RUINED OUR VACATION, NOW I HAVE TO FUMIGATE. THANKS A BUNCH.

Pros: nice menu

Cons: Customer relations in regard to infestation of stateroom.
