This review asked for photos and we didn’t take any. Omg. I guess that says something about the cruise. We relaxed on this cruise but we probably won’t book Holland America again.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
It was easy, ship not full so that helped, sitting on tiny, black, cheap, plastic folding chairs waiting to load the ship was not fun.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The main dining room was extremely slow, small portions and cold food. Normally we enjoy the dining room and talking to table mates. We gave up on the dining room tho. Service wasn’t even that great. The Lido buffet was amazing. They cooked fresh eggs in front of you, grilling salmon and desserts were great. The Dine In hambuger was delicious, yummy fries.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
There wasn’t much to do except listen to music at night. Fitness center was nice. Bingo extremely expensive. We went to Trivia a couple times. It was a quiet room and they’d ask a question. No music, no fun atmosphere. Boring. The music trivia was fun because the host was playing music clips.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
The shows were just ok until the last night, comedian Azeem was hilarious.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Room stewards and the Lido buffet staff were very attentive.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Very clean. We still hate having to walk thru a smoky casino to get to the other end of ship.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
It was nice. Bed and wall squishy to get to balcony. Bathroom size was a plus. Big shower.
Ship tip
Be sure to find your way to the 12th deck cafe and game room.
