Review summary
The Koningsdam's strengths:
-Brand new ship with nicely done cabins. There is more than enough storage space for clothing, shoes, toiletries, etc. The bathroom has an extra large shower with glass door, so no shower curtain sticking to your body while you bathe.
-Best food on any cruise ship we've been on (about 16 cruises under our belt).
-Friendliest and most attentive staff of any ship. We never saw our cabin steward. He/she always gave us our privacy when we put the sign on our door, and the cabin was always cleaned promptly when we left to do activities.
-B.B. King's Blues Lounge was rockin', and guests were dancing every night.
-Ship's own singer and dancers were very talented, and productions were very good.
-Even with 2600 passengers, plus crew, the ship never felt crowded or had long lines for food, disembarkation, etc.
The Koningsdam's weaknesses:
-Long wait for embarkation on departure day. That system needs a little "tweaking."
-Typical Caribbean itinerary, offering typical Caribbean tours. Nothing special.
-Entertainers brought onboard were a little weak, consisting of jugglers and comedians.
-Reservations for the dining room were hard to get. Do this way ahead of time.
Overall, a very good ship and cruise!

I am happy to read that your cruise met your expectations for the most part. I also really enjoyed the singers & dancer numbers and the BBC performance with the musicians on boards. I now watch the shows on TV whenever they air. I sailed on her in December.
