Review summary

We had a mix of wonderful, mediocre, and disappointing meals. Also, few of our port arrivals were late causing us to miss seeing planned sights. I know some of these delays could have also been due to the port not clearing us to dock promptly but some were not. My biggest issue was the day we returned to the ship and the crew was wearing masks. We asked if there was an outbreak of Covid and we’re told that “Everything is fine, it’s just a precaution “. It was NOT fine. I realize travel is a risky venture since Covid but find their lack of transparency surprising. Honesty and up front awareness of onboard illness gives us all a better chance to protect ourselves.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The main dining room food was a mix of good, mediocre, and disappointing meals. The crew was very gracious but we had two nights where the service was extremely slow. The specialty restaurants were great.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We had three performers in addition to the ships stage shows. The pianist and singer were outstanding and deserve 6 stars!!!!

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
We had two wonderful room stewards - Noorman and Nadia. They were great and I would give them 5 stars.

You embarked the day we disembarked in Montreal. A few days into the cruise there was an announcement that crew masks were mandatory. So no everything was NOT fine on this ship though we were never told what the issue was. In spite of our best efforts my husband did get sick (not Covid).

So — why didn’t you give the service and staff the five stars that you mentioned?? They work hard and need the highest rating if it was earned.
